Isn’t that chauvinist and stupid at the same time? Lady drivers cant drive a normal sized car, how the hell can they drive a bus! hahaha! Kidding aside, its not the gender issue. Its the strict implementation of traffic penalties, rules and regulations and it is about the legality of the drivers, men or women, if they are capable or not. I strongly believe if a normal citizen is given a professional license to drive a public utility vehicle, his or her objective should change to “safety” because as a public utility driver, your main objective is to bring your passengers from point A to point B safely and next is to bring home money to your family and not the other way around. Now, if our traffic penalties,rules and regulations are lame, even a lady driver can turn out to be a reckless driver. Nevertheless, the issue points back to our government, if the agencies who handles traffic and licensing are doing their job. Because i see a lot of men with government acronyms flagging down vehicles along EDSA with different purposes and intentions.
Let me specify the MGA(Men with Government Acronyms) that i see in the streets what are their objectives.
1. MMDA-Metro Manila Development Authority. Their main objective is to develop Metro Manila Streets via beautification of sidewalks,flyovers, and in most cases controlling traffic.
2. TMG- Traffic Management Group. Their main objective should be the controlling or management of Traffic but as of my knowledge, they are the ones hunting for stolen vehicles, they also authenticate Certificate of Registration.
3. DOTC-Department of Transportation and Communications. Their main objective is to develop systems for the transportation and communications. So basically, they should do research and study new improvements for the country’s transportation and communications. Are they?
4. LTFRB-Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board, they are responsible for the issuance of Public Transportation Licenses and they should be regulating the number of public transport per area. PUV:passenger ratio.
5. TTMO- Traffic and Transport Management Office, a new branch of MMDA that is redundant to DOTC and TMG. Again, MMDA is trying to be controversial with this acronym.
6. LTO- Land Transportation Office, responsible for the issuance of drivers license. (private or public)

Every time you drive in an unfamiliar street, you’ll get to see more MGAs. Mr. President, lets call the attention of our government agencies and lets try to solve real problems and not make stupid comments and solutions that only diverts the problem and not solve!

So what is the real solution? Get the rules straight! If a PUV is involve in any accident, automatic, they are the culprit, no questions asked. If a pedestrian got hit by a car outside the pedestrian lane, no crime will be done, its the pedestrians fault why she/he got killed. If a motorcycle got hit outside motorcycle lane (we should have this) no questions asked, its the motorcycles fault. just like that!

Now we have to fly to Macau and then use the Ferry Jet to Hong Kong. That’s life! You’ll never know what will happen!

I bought 4 adventure line tickets, the interactive fall, the silver surfer, the superman and the mission impossible free drop! All 4 for 800 pesos. Its not expensive because they invested well with the safety gears and staffs who are all friendly and knowledgeable with what they do.

The Interactive freefall is a machine operated carrier that can lift 3 full size human attached to a tall tree. You will have to wear a harness and safety gears. The operator will then press the up and down button for 10 minutes at a speed of 10-20kph. My thrill score for this is 1 of 5 points. Basically, its a girl thing!

The Silver Surfer is almost the same as the interactive fall but instead of a vertical line, this one is horizontal, the lines are attached from one tree to another, maybe 500-700meters long. And of course, you need all the safety harness to be able to ride. My thrill score for this is 2 of 5 points.

The Superman is similar to the Silver Surfer, the difference is that you are emulating Superman with the ropes! I believe an oversized person won’t be able to fit the bars because it takes great effort to lie flat on the bar. My Thrill score for this is 2 of 5 points also.

And the last adventure line that we tried is the so called “mission impossible drop” or the Australian Tree drop. The staffs here are funny that i called them the ‘colocoys’! They are trying to make the customers laugh to ease the tension of some but not me! hehe! My thrill score for this is 4 of 5 points!

Last week in a Christmas Party, i was bragging about how witty my 3year old son was because during the Toy Kingdom Warehouse Sale in SM Megamall, while we were looking for his mommy, He shouted “Jennifer, Jennifer, where are you?!” I was shocked and people around were smiling because they knew he was calling out his mothers’s name. And so a friend of mine started sharing his own story, he said that he instructed his youngest son, 3yo, to call him by his first name and he is serious. So i asked him, why? He said based on his fengshui and his 3yo son, he should not be called daddy,papa,tatay,itay or father by his youngest son or else they will not have a good relationship ahead. Because they are “chiong” meaning their animal signs contradicts each other.  Crazy, isn’t it? where is the animal instinct in us if we believe in this kind of advise? is this proven?

3 years ago, when my dad started to become a full-time Christian, there group have this Nigerian import who they believe is a Prophet. One time, my 64 year old dad went home with a big smile because the import told him that he will have 3 buildings! now my dad is a Pastor but no building yet! That same prophet told me that i will become a millionaire with lots of cars and suvs that i can imagine and an old rich lady will ruin my marriage life. All of a sudden, i thought i was James Yap. Haha! The prophet has a catch, he said: “you will only get those if you receive Jesus Christ right now!” I said to him, he is already within me and i love my wife more than the old rich lady!

Funny isn’t it?! I am not a valedictorian or cum laude but people put their education to waste when they become desperate and believe in these craps. Sorry, you may think i am rubbish but think again! I might be correct!

Last December 2, 2010. We had a thanksgiving dinner with friends from the industry and some chosen media and blogger friends to celebrate the soft launch of the 1st online car insurance hub in the Philippines. The night was filled with fun and surprises. The guests started arriving at 6pm and the dinner promptly started at 7pm.

Zhazhiki Import/ Export Corp. sponsored Rainbow Brush Markers to start the night lively. We randomly placed 15 logos underneath the chairs and the lucky ones bring home the marker set.

I personally invited Sonnie Santos of Business Values to be the master of ceremony of the night. He is a good friend and i consider him as my mentor. My wife Jennifer formally welcomed the guests with her wit and charms. Then its was my turn to introduce my company. I really got nervous and messed up my speech. I am more of a writer than speaker, that is why i just made a press kit for the media to really understand what i wanted to deliver! Kidding aside, i really wanted to re-educate the insuring public about non-life insurance mostly with Car and Fire insurance. There are a lot of cases that instead of being assured people ended a loser because of wrong insurance.

I also invited a family friend to grace the night with her lovely voice, Ms. Suzanne Co. Her voice was really empowering! After her song number, i went up the stage again to explain the features of the 1st online car insurance hub in the Philippines! Again, i got nervous but managed to explain the process of the website.

To cap off the night, Standard Insurance and Gadgets in Style raffled off gift items. Gadgets in Style, also a happy customer of ours gave away 3 mobile phones as raffle prizes.

Of course we won’t finish the night without the major raffle, we gave away P10,000 worth of insurance premium that can be used for his or her car insurance or fire insurance. Annalyn Jusay of annalyn.net won the Grand Prize!

Pinoys are submissive. I ate dinner at an authentic La Mien Restaurant in Masangkay St. I believe the owner is a genuine immigrant from China, im not sure if legal or illegal. But i am pretty sure he is just an average joe back home but here, he is the boss! The boss of many Pinoys that should be greater than him. In a nutshell, when Pinoys go out of the Philippines and live elsewhere, we end up as employees only. Not all but only a few go out of the country and become an entrepreneur outside the Philippines. My point is, we Pinoys should start to believe in ourselves and express our own thoughts and ways and creativity and be proud of it! The kuliglig thing is really a brilliant idea but done in a wrong way…get my point?

1. She told me to put my sim to another phone and try sending sms from it. -i tried and yes i was able to send out the sms.

2. Put a different sim to my Nokia e63 and try to send sms from it.- i tried but no it still did not send the sms.

With this 2 diagnosis, we concluded that the problem is from my Nokia e63, so today, i went to the Smart Center in Shnagrila Mall and reported the problem. The real reason i went there is because i wanted to know if the unit they gave me is still under warranty. Unfortunately, it was a week past to its expiry date so i went home a lonely and worried man, doodads again!

After i got home, i went straight to my mac and googled “Nokia e63 sms sending failed” and it pointed me to http://tinyurl.com/245yrwz, it is a forum from Nokia Europe and the solution worked for me and i am very happy to share it to you all.

Even though that all of my messages and files were deleted, i am still happy that my e63 was able to send sms again. So for people with the same problem, before doing the hard reset, please back up all your files including your messages and mostly your contacts because it will definitely delete it.

Just Dial *#7370# to hard reset it and the default password is 12345. I tried the soft reset but it didn’t work for me. Hope this helps!

Wow! Christmas is just around the corner and im sure Ninongs just like me is in a hunt for Great gifts for your inaanak and Ninangs as well!
